Yo!!I was sleeeping for a minute but I finally checked this out and I have to agree there is some nice tracks on this album!!It was definetly refreshing. When lyricist expose the missing elements in mainstream rap that being conceptional it is a great thing to hear. I love listening to something I want to hear and the beats and music was on point with it so I enjoyed it!!!

Yo man thanks alot for featuring my Bahai brothers "Blue Scholars"! I have been coming to your awesome site for a long time and was excited to see you have them. The opening of this CD is a Bahai prayer in Persian and the producer is Persian. The Bahai are about bringing this crazy world together in unity, and I became a Bahai 6 years ago. For more info about it check

http://www.bahai.org/

For more Bahai inspired hip hop check out the other Sabzi produced project "Common Market"

Remember... the revolution will not be televised... but it might be blogged about! One love !

I admit I had low expectations when I first heard it, but I really love their sound now!

Must listen better before I really judge the album. Cheers!

First off props to the Dungeon master. Your site has been visited daily by me for a few months. You always recommend good stuff. You are a priceless resource.

Anyone debating downloading this album, do it. Blue Scholars is good music.

They remind me of Zion I who is dope in my opinion. However Zion I can sound a look too bayish, or synthesized on some songs. Blue Scholars has a more organic sound.

these guys suck, dont know what ya'll are gettin so excited about, there beats suck and the mcs sounds gay, this aint nothing like the stuff rawkus used to release.

Rawkus has always been famous for the underground and back pack hip hop. I respect your opinion but I happen to differ. The thought is refreshing just simply saying that they are pouring in lyrics that have a concept other than gun slinging, selling drugs, more girls, etc. They also seem to be riding the groove pretty good. I like a few of the tracks and think that it is pretty good. I know cats making kzillions of dollars making worse!!I hear these cats are form Seatlle much love for keeping Hip Hop alive and putting their town on the map.

Thanks for reminding me why I love this hip-hop sh!t. This is an instant classic. It's that hot and a good look for the NW. The Persian immersion and the wildfire spitter in the hiz'oh! Cop this. And spread the luv. 1

Finally, a decent Filipino Emcee in the hip hop world. The best thing we had going was that douchebag from BEP and he sucked something terrible. Geologic and Saba remind me of Pete Rock and Cl Smooth....That's how good this album is..

i am kinda disapointed ,.... i certainly think Kidz in the Hall & Marco Polo were better albums,...

But thats just my opinion,...

This album is hot though ,.. but because of all the positive reactions i kinda exspected more,..

MoodSwingz,...

WHAT THE FUCK? YOU PEOPLE ARE WAYYYYY OUT OF TOUCH WITH THE FUNK. I READ YOUR INFO ABOUT THIS ALBUM, FOUND A LINK THAT WORKED CUZ I AM ALWAYS LISTENING TO NEW MUSIC, LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FRESH. THIS MUSIC IS NOT FUNKY FRESH FOR 2007...!!!!! THE DRUMS/RHYTHMS ARE WAAAAAAYYYYY ELEMENTARY. DISGUSTINGLY WEEEAAAKKKKKKK! THIS TRENDY WACK ASS BUBBLEGUM STYLE IS CONTRIBUTING TO THE MASS MEDIA'S MURDER OF REAL MODERN-DAY SOUL/FUNK/HIPHOP MUSIC ... THIS IS JUST SOME AMATEUR IMITATION HIPHOP... SORRY, BUT THAT'S MY REALITY... IF YOU WANT TO HEAR SOME REAL 2007 HIPHOP SHIT, CHECK OUT DOOLEY O... PEACE.

You johnny-come-latelys are overrating this album... their drums are horribly weak... period...

yes i have to agree, i'm from seattle and these guys are hyped up so much but i cant feel their music, i think they're a weak group, and im sick of so many people talking about how good they are cuz they're from our area.

"Bring em back home"---- that is our life in Bremerton/Seattle. Much better message than "like me like a lollipop", which mainstream thinks represents hip hop. That's pop. If you want the crackle and snap that used to come with the hip hop culture, start off with that song from these Blue scholars.
