Dogg, this shit is crazy! The Rakim, the Monch, the Common, the Jeru...you the man. And extra respect for having mediafire links.

Best blog ever.

And if I can suggest another edition of this guest spot/b-side/unreleased shit, how about M.O.P.? My favorite duo ever. And I have damn near everything they ever did, but I still can't find that song with Ras Kass and Jaz-O.

Mobb Deep/Nas is another worthy contender, but they have way too much unreleased shit, I find new stuff all the time at like the SOHH forums and shit.

Something else could be Nexx Level (Smoothe the Hustler, Trigger the Gambler, DV Alias Khrist), Boot Camp Clik, etc.

btw, this is a Rakim collection I got from Philaflava forums, those guys are great too.

Thanks for the support man :)

I don't have many stuff by M.O.P., so that would be kinda hard for me to do.

My next Collection is probably going to feature Chuck D, I think I have everything he has ever released, or I'll make a mini-collection to complete Chino XL's Vol.1 & 2 bootlegs and maybe do a proper Canibus Collection (which I started sometime ago, but never finished posting). After that I'm still not sure, maybe Talib Kweli, and I would also like to do a Kool G. Rap and maybe a KRS-One collection (which I doubt I'll do, since they got way too many material...)
I also think I have every misc song from Sticky Fingaz.

But for now, I'm going to get back to regular albums.

Kazeiro said...

Oh, and for Nas, there's already the Library Of A Legend, which is a great collection, and http://escobartheory.blogspot.com/ also posted some good shit.

And I think I also used some songs off that Unreleased Demos bootleg ;)

Yo, this is crazy man. Definitely need to do a Kweli Joint like this. Thanks bro.

major props for this Rakim the God

Great stuff once again!

Anonymous said...

props for this site, been checking for months upon months now...

as for the 070707 rakim release, Wu had the same hype surrounding that date but ofcourse we're listening to neither new project today.

070707 fell on a saturday, so although the #7 has alot of relevance business wise it didn't make sense. also it seems like nowadays all the projects you want to hear are pushed back several times before release, for whatever reason.

Anonymous said...

Yeah ChuckThat Would Be Great, Rakim is too awesome to0.

Anonymous said...

Kaz, I got no words...
once again, great!!
I vote for the KRS-One collection.

deecom said...

Oh SHIT!?!?!!
Rakim Allah - That's some good tracks thx 4 that. Those collections are the best & btw I will check that P.Monch but no promises.

Anonymous said...

Chuck D, Chino XL, Canibus, Talib Kweli, Kool G. Rap, KRS-One, and Sticky Fingaz...damn. All of those are great ideas, no doubt. Now I know I was dead serious on this being the best blog ever. Good luck with all this.

If it helps, I found a lot of rare shit through google and www.discogs.com. I'm pretty close to getting every Onyx/G. Rap/whoever song ever, lol.

Some more suggestions (trying to think of people who don't have comps like these already, like Nas, Mos Def, Primo, D.I.T.C., etc.): Brand Nubian, Large Professor, Outsidaz...man, the possibilities are endless.

Yo hot post...Still waiting on Rakim's new album (wasnt it supposed to come out 7/7/07 the 7th seal or something)

i just started a blog and seem to have similar musical taste as you so please check it out if you got time. if you enjoy the material i would appreciate a link up very much.

chivatoslounge.blogspot.com

I just posted DJ RONDEVU'S GODBROTHERS WITH BLENDS OF RAKIM AND NAS FOR AN ENTIRE MIXTAPE for you to add to your Rakim post if you want.

Thanx
Mike

dragondude_r, do you want to contribute on the Onyx/G. Rap collections? it would be a great help, Kool G. Rap in particular, whom I haven't started collecting tracks yet..

Hit me up on the email with your lists and I'll see if there's anything I want, ok? :)

Anonymous said...

Many props to the guy who mentioned Nexx Level... That's the real shit we need

Anonymous said...

If I could upload, I'd help you out with everything I got, but unfortunately, I'm running on 56k. It takes about 4 hours to upload one song. -_-

lol, I'm really sorry though, no braodband out here in the country so a modem is all I have.

If it helps though, I get a lot of Onyx from http://www.onyxdomain.com/raretracks.htm and Kool G. Rap from http://www.unkut.com/category/g-rap-week/. Here's G. Rap discog (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Kool+G+Rap) and encyclopedia of sorts (http://www.geocities.com/TimesSquare/Zone/8717/index.html) and Onyx's (http://www.discogs.com/artist/Onyx).

Just ask and I'll help you find any song that I've found over the internet (a lot of times I'll google "[song] zshare" or "[song] mediafire", I bet I could help you with that. Everything else, I just Limewire'd or Soulseek'd (though to tell the truth, I hate using P2P, they work like shit for me most of the time).

Also *gives Faktor dap*

Dem niggas is nasty!

I'm glad I found another fan.

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah, my email is Dragondude_r@hotmail.com if you ever want to hit me up through email.

Kazeiro said...

That sucks man : /

I didn't know that Unkut had so many G Rap tracks, and I def didn't know about that Onyx site, dope shit. Thanks

My problem with encyclopedia sites (another one: http://members.aol.com/ProfQuater/) and discogs is that they never have the artists full discography, there's always lots of stuff missing so I have to check every single list to see if there's anything new, and Discogs got a lot of shit repeated which makes it annoying.

Kool G. Rap is going to be a hard one, I just compiled some tracks I had on my computer and I quickly reached 79 tracks. (and there are A LOT to download yet)

And I also use Limewire and Soulseek (I hate limewire, but it's useful sometimes)

Vas said...

good looks on that onyx domain link, some nice stuff on there dragon. thanks

Anonymous said...

No problemo. Just trying to help.

And I do agree with you about encyclopedias and discogs and shit. Sometimes, you'll just have to Limewire or google the name for something to come up (like freestyles and covers of classic songs, like Kool G. Rap, Truck Turner, KRS-One, Big Pun-The Symphony 2000), which is bullshit really. >_>

To make up for my uploading handicap, I'll try to just post shit I find through google every now and then. I'm sure you have these too, but you know, just playing my part, lol. I'll help whenever I have free time.

Kool G. Rap
------------
I Thought I Told You ft. Prodigy (probably on Half a Klip, prod. by Scram Jones, pretty good besides weak ass verse from P)

http://www.zshare.net/audio/2284483fe93664/

Google found this track from And1, thus I'm guessing it's The Streets.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=X1NILMV6

La the Darkman ft. Kool G. Rap, Bowtie-Alleyway Hustlers (Pain in Many Forms) (La's one of the best Wu affiliates)

Thanks a lot, man. This is gonna come handy to kill time till he actually drops his new album.

Anonymous said...

I got some more Ra. And Uploaded it here: http://sharebee.com/92e6a7be

things i didn't include, but own:
alicia keys - streets of ny (new version) ft nas and rakim - nas verse is lil bit different (edited), and track is 50 sec shorter, tho this version was released as (promo?) cds.
lloyd banks - you know the deal ft rakim - i don't have the actual album, but it seems that the track is credited as "featuring rakim". This track has just rakim sample in chours and if u're not big fan of lloyd banks it's not worth uploading/downloading
rakim - heat it up remixes and one shade of black remix, didn't include because of bad quality and they're not that dope, so it would be just waste of bandwith.

ayatollah ft rakim - cold feeling - the full version from vls and without annoying dj
rakim - guess whos back (buckwild remix) - rare buckwild remix, now available also on: buckwild - diggin in the creates album
rakim - hoodlum - the quality is worse but 20 sec longer and extra rhyme by ?
rakim - new york (alternate remix) - the full version. no extra lyrics, but instru is 1 min longer (and it's produced by primo)
j-love - keep the mic hot ft rakim - really just a j-love remix of heat it up.
rakim - once upon a time remix - a rare remix from japanese vls, the beat is dope
rakim - when i be flowin remix - a rare remix from vls, also available on "The Wake Up Show Unreleased Project Vol.1"
rakim - shades of black easy mo bee og version - original easy mo bee produced version
rakim - heat it up album version - no idea if it's really "the album version", but it's the one that's credited like that on vls and it's not the same as already posted version
rakim - remember that og version - original version of the track circa '96
chilli mac, ice-t, rakim - game of life - track from some weird compilation album. Google it for more info.

and 2 tracks i didn't recognize (don't sue me if they were already included or are from album)
rakim - new york city
rakim - everythings cool

Kazeiro this is hot man Rakim Allah!! My man you know with all this on his plate you can't help but hope this guy can drop a gemm juwst to silence some of the critics you know what I mean? Not that it has to sound like todays artist or anything but something to remind folks of one of the baddest flowers and lyricist ever. I've always appreciated his flow he combined everthing in one package and delivered it on the smooth tip but yet hard enough for anybody that had since not to touch!! Rakim is certainly legendary in my book!!

And the thing is...it matters. So many books are bought online these days, yet the standard of customer reviews is shocking (did anyone from Amazon even check this review? Doesn't look like it). Sure, I imagine it must be tough moderating so many reviews, but if you're going to do it then it should be done properly. Permitting people to post 5-star reviews of a book's physical properties is a joke. There are all sorts of horror stories from people who bought a book as a result of dreadful (or even fake) reviews.
