Y Society (2007) Travel At Your Own Pace
Some people with a really good taste in Hip-Hop recommended me this album, and as soon as I started listening, I was amazed. Group members Insight and Damu the Fudgemunk created a masterpiece. It just feels like it was made in 1994: amazing jazzy beats with awsome scratches and nostalogic samples, something that would remind you of old Pete Rock, Primo or Diamond D, aswell as an unique new style from Damu. The Boston, MA resident MC Insight has gained the respect of his peers including Mr. Lif, Edan, and Electric Company over the last decade. And he can really spit good lyrics with an amazing fast (or slow at times) flow.
I really really think you should listen to this, and post your thoughts.

I have only spun a few tracks a few times but so far its a nice, refreshing listen. Definitely a cd that will continue to grow on me. I recommend the download for sure.
Definitely, a breath of fresh air. And it really does sound like it came out in '94. I even had to double check when it came out. A definite must download.

Unfortunatly I dont get my required dose of non-commercial hip hop...but when i do, listening to albums like these make me think..why the hell do people say lil wayne is any good (for the record i hate lil wayne)...insight just killed it and nobodys the wiser! thanks for the upload Kaz, hopefully you've opened more eyes to whats out there!!

Whenever you write about an album with such passion, I know I'm gonna be spinning it for the next weeks... haven't peeped it yet, but I'm grabbing it right now.
Also, I'm feeling ya on the "some shithead's deleted your files" story. Same shit happened to me. There are people who had better help some old lady cross the street to make the world a better place.
